The Vintage Phone Mic Extra is a rare and limited addition to the Vintage Phone Microphone 2. The headset is converted into a push-to-talk microphone and can be mounted to a Vintage Phone Microphone 2.

This microphone is activated via a momentary push button on its backside like you would see on an walkie-talkie. The capsule is dynamic and of the same type as those found in other vintage phone microphones. It is build with quality parts from Mogami Cables and Neutrik. The microphone narrows the frequency band into the range of 250hz – 4000hz and reproduces the well-known sound of a LO-FI telephone signal.

This microphone is intended to be held and operated by hand. It can be useful as a effect for a voice or harmonica. In a mixing situation can the recording from the Vintage Phone Mic Extra be blended with another recording to give coloration.
