The Digital Tape Delay is a guitar pedal that uses the famous PT2399 chip.

Even though the circuit is digital, the effect sounds very analog and has a nice dark and gritty delay. The pedal has the classic 3-button setup with “Repeat”, “Delay” and “Volume”. You can get a authentic rockabilly/country slapback sound by setting a short delay-time and volume at max. The vintage vibe is more prominent at the longer delay-times. The pedal has true bypass and operates with 9v dc power.

The kit has quite a few parts and there is not much space on the PCB to solder the components. However, the build should not give you any major problems if you have some prior experience. Please note that the wiring is a bit messy due to the design of the kit. You will find all the necessary documentation including a detailed step-by-step tutorial on this product page.

The kit comes with all you need: PCB, components, buttons, wires, jack and power sockets, footswitch, rubber feet, printed waterslide decal and a pre-drilled aluminium enclosure. We recommend you to have some heat shrink tube ready for the wire connections.
