The Opto-Comp is a nice and simple compressor guitar pedal. This style of compression is not common in guitar pedals, witch makes it special.

The effect is characterized by a transparent compression with a slower attack. It works nicely with both knobs at noon. You can get a pumping effect by turning the sustain knob at max. You can level-match the output signal with the volume knob. The pedal has true bypass and operates with 9v dc power.

The kit is pretty simple to build with a manageable amount of components. However, the design of the enclosure and graphic design requires some work and experience. You will find all the necessary documentation including a detailed step-by-step tutorial on this product page.

The kit comes with all you need: PCB, components, buttons, wires, jack and power sockets, footswitch, rubber feet, printed waterslide decal and aluminium enclosure. We recommend you to have some heat shrink tube ready for the wire connections.
